Overview

School Trip to Kent – The Garden of England

The county of Kent, traditionally known as ‘The Garden of England’ because of its abundance of orchards, strawberry and hop fields, offers a wealth of opportunities for learning outside the classroom.

Stunning castles, gardens and stately homes pepper the landscape and tell stories of a bygone era. You may be surprised to learn that there are over 21 castles in Kent alone!  All are very different and some are more suited than others to catering to the National Curriculum or for a fun school day trip out.

Alternatively for seaside fun, the charming town of Whitstable, has been a favourite haunt of artists throughout the centuries and continues to be today and is well worth exploring.  But whatever you decide to do, finish your stay with a fish and chip supper which will be appreciated by your students and your school trip to Kent will have been a perfect stay.
