Your day-by-day itinerary
Day 1
12:00 PM: Arrival in Southampton by coach
As you step off the coach, you’ll find yourself in Southampton, ready for an exciting artistic journey.
12:30 PM – 1:00 PM: Lunch Take a break and enjoy a delicious lunch to fuel up for the adventures ahead.
1:30 PM – 3:30 PM: Beaulieu – Art and Design Workshop
Your artistic exploration begins at the historic Beaulieu estate, home to the National Motor Museum. Here, budding artists and designers can unleash their creativity in an engaging Art and Design Workshop. Drawing inspiration from the impressive automobile collection, students will embark on a journey of artistic expression.
4:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Spinnaker Tower – Art in the Sky
Ascend 100 meters into the sky at the iconic Spinnaker Tower for a truly unique experience, “Art in the Sky.” Students will have the opportunity to create artwork with breathtaking views as their backdrop, offering a fresh perspective on their artistic skills.
6:30 PM – 7:30 PM: Dinner
Enjoy a lovely evening meal prepared by your hotel/hostel, where you can relax and discuss the day’s creative discoveries.
7:30 PM – 9:00 PM: Evening Activity – Game Night
After dinner, organize a fun and engaging game night for the students. Board games, card games, and interactive quiz sessions will promote teamwork, critical thinking, and friendly competition among the students, fostering socialization and relaxation in a comfortable setting.
Day 2
7:30 AM – 8:30 AM: Breakfast
Start the day with a hearty breakfast to energize the students for another day of exploration.
9:00 AM – 11:30 AM: Bucklers Hard – Maritime Art Adventure
Delve into the maritime heritage of Bucklers Hard and engage in a Maritime Art Adventure workshop. Here, students can capture the essence of the shipbuilding village through their artwork, connecting with history through creativity.
11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Lunch
A well-deserved break for lunch before the afternoon’s artistic endeavors.
12:30 PM – 3:30 PM: Southampton Art Gallery – Artistic Exploration
Explore the Southampton Art Gallery, where students can immerse themselves in a world of art and design. Engage in interactive exhibits and gain insights into various art forms. 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM: SeaCity Museum Visit
SeaCity Museum Southampton caters to school groups with guided tours of exhibitions led by inspiring tour guides. 9:00 AM: Check-out and Departure to Alice Holt Forest
Bid farewell to Southampton and head to Forestry England’s Alice Holt Forest for your last artistic experience.
11:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Alice Holt Forest – Nature and Art
Before concluding your journey, immerse yourselves in the beauty of nature at Alice Holt Forest. Engage in a nature-inspired art session, connecting art with the natural world. It’s a serene and reflective way to end your trip.
