Beaulieu
Stimulating, informative and fun – Beaulieu is one of the UK’s leading visitor attractions providing a fascinating destination for educational visits.
What We Offer Visiting Schools:
Key Stage 1:
- ‘Don’t Scare The Horses’ – This hands-on fun programme lifts the lid on some of the more unusual and entertaining aspects of the story of motoring.
- ‘At Home With The Governess’ – Travel back in time and experience the atmosphere of a Victorian country house under the watchful eye of the Governess, Miss Clarke.
Key Stage 2:
- ‘Motoring Marvels – Ideas That Changed Our World’ – Meet the people behind the ideas that revolutionised motoring and investigate how they transformed the humble motor car from the early Benz Motorwagen to the modern marvels of today.
- ‘From Rush To Hush-Hush’ – Three extraordinary men, two exciting careers, one spellbinding story.
- ‘Reinventing The Wheel’ – The Victorians were great inventors, and many of their innovations have left a lasting impression, but few of their inventions have been reinvented as much as the motor car.
- ‘Covert Operations’- What do the words “sabotage” and “subversion” have to do with sleepy and peaceful Beaulieu?
- ‘Marvellous Maids and Fabulous Footmen’ – Have you got what it takes to secure a job at Palace House?
Key Stage 3-4
- ‘From Abbey To Zipline’ – A world-famous motor museum, a 13th Century Abbey, a Victorian mansion house or an 18th Century shipbuilding village, just what is the “USP” of Beaulieu?
Free car rides in our blue convertible 1928 Austin 12 are available but must be pre-booked in advance. The car can accommodate 3 students per trip, a member of the school staff must accompany the students, each car ride lasts approx. 5 mins per trip. Please allow up to 1hr per class for car rides.
