Newby Hall & Gardens

Newby Hall & Gardens

Designed by Sir Christopher Wren in 1690, with some of Britain’s fi nest Robert Adam interiors, Newby Hall is home to a wonderful collection of Chippendale furniture, Gobelins tapestries, and classical statuary. We offer children’s tours around the house.

Explore 25 acres of award-winning gardens at Newby Hall including one of Europe’s largest double herbaceous borders or take in the scene aboard a relaxing boat trip along the river Ure. We offer gardening and sculpture workshops.

There is also lots to keep young ones entertained with an amazing adventure playground, enchanting woodland walk, and a miniature railway, a doll house exhibition, and the Bear House Museum. There is coach parking with toilets and a picnic area.
