Space Weeks at Science and Industry Museum

Plan your visit during one of our specially programmed Space Weeks this Autumn and enjoy an out-of-this-world museum take over with extra-special space-themed activities across the museum.

• 21–25 September: Autumn Equinox
• 4–10 October: World Space Week
• 14–18 December: Winter Solstice

Plus, turbo-charge your visit with discounted tickets to Horrible Science: Cosmic Chaos and Space Explorers when you book for both experiences. Blast-off into the Solar System for only £4 per person, saving £1 per ticket, then take on a coding challenge and complete a Moon mission in Space Explorers, an interactive on-gallery workshop, for only £3.50 per person, saving £1 per ticket.

You will receive a pre-visit pack with information and resources to help prepare your class before your visit, including short video clips from ESA Astronaut Reserve Meganne Christian detailing her earliest science memory and what qualities an Astronaut needs.

Our Conversation Space will feature a range of space-themed colouring pages, giving students the chance to pause, unwind, and engage with the theme of their visit in a fun and mindful way.

Planispheres – Take the Night Sky Home

The journey continues after your visit! Your class will receive a specially designed planisphere template, giving students the chance to create their own star chat to explore the constellations and chart the night sky from the classroom.
