Holocaust Centre North

Holocaust Centre North tells a global history of the Holocaust through local stories from the North of England. It focuses on the experiences of 16 children and young people who survived Nazi persecution across Europe in the 1930s and 1940s and made new lives in the UK. Visitors will see poignant personal photos, objects and documents of the survivors and their families, together with original artefacts from the concentration camps. Through exclusive filmed testimony, the survivors tell their stories of discrimination, persecution, escape, hiding and concentration camps, as well as those of liberation and their new lives in the North of England.
