What We Offer Visiting Schools:

Blands Cliff Lodge has been welcoming school groups since 2001. We offer comfortable en-suite accommodation in double, twin, and family rooms, freshly cooked breakfasts, optional packed lunches, and free WiFi throughout. Our central location is within walking distance of South Bay beach, theatres, shops, restaurants, and public transport. On-street parking permits are available, with alternative nearby car parks and park-and-ride options. Guests can relax in the guest lounge, which has books, games, and newspapers.

Group Sizes Catered For:

We cater for groups of 10 to 40 guests, ideal for small to medium-sized school groups.

Meals – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner:

We serve a freshly cooked breakfast each morning, including pastries, cereals, yoghurts, toast with jams, filter coffee, tea, and juices. Breakfast options include a 9-item cooked menu with vegetarian, gluten-free, and pork-free alternatives, as well as smoked kippers and salmon & scrambled eggs. Breakfast times:

Mon–Fri: 08:30 – 09:30

Weekends: 09:00 – 10:00

Extended times on Bank Holidays, or earlier breakfast on request.

Optional lunches and packed lunches are available on request, accommodating dietary requirements such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and allergy-friendly options.

Risk Assessment:

Safety is a priority. All staff are trained in fire safety and first aid. Emergency procedures are clearly established, and regular safety checks are conducted. While the property has no lift and may not suit those with restricted mobility, all en-suite rooms are secure. Staff have extensive experience hosting school groups, ensuring supervision and safety throughout the stay.

Pricing Information:

Pricing depends on group size, season, and meal requirements. Quotes are available per person, per night, with special rates for school groups. Early booking is recommended to secure group rates and preferred dates.

Check-out: Until 11:00 (rooms to be vacated by 10:30)
Early or late check-in/out requests can be made, though are not guaranteed. The property is open year-round and available for school visits throughout the calendar, subject to availability.
