Stubbers Adventure Centre

South East England

What We Offer Visiting Schools:

We offer a range of experiences year-round to accommodate all school age groups. From single activity sessions, to weeklong residentials and everything in between. We can host your revision weekend, with a few breakout activities sprinkled in. We make a great venue for assessments for outdoor qualifications such as climbing or paddling GCSEs. You can even bring your pupils to our Centre just to use the outdoor space, with a giant adventure play park, picnic areas and a discovery trail walk all included in the very affordable entry fee.

Why Choose Us for an Educational Visit:

With 35 different activities available across land, air and water, we can offer adventurous activities like nowhere else in the area. Our full day adventure programmes offer a snapshot of what we offer with water, tower, target and land activities included in your day. Our residential visitors get to experience even more of what we have to offer with between 6 and 16 activity sessions, depending on the length of your stay. All of our instructors are trained to create safe, fun and educational sessions which aim to improve confidence, communication and resilience in your pupils.

Subjects and Topics Covered:

Here at Stubbers, we believe outdoor learning is key to children’s development, and whilst we can’t offer subject specific sessions, we believe that all of our activities have strong ties to develop social, emotional, leadership and problem solving skills (among others!) We can offer specific programmes to aid in the delivery and assessment of criteria linked to qualifications such as GCSE Climbing.

Accreditation and Awards:

Stubbers has been awarded the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge.

Group Sizes Catered For:

We can accommodate residential groups between 25 and 200. Day groups have a minimum booking of 12 up to 250 depending on availability.

Itineraries, Resources, and Workshops:

Our day group programmes run from 09:15-16:45 on weekdays throughout the year and include 4 x 90-minute activities.

Residential programmes run Mon-Wed, Wed-Fri, Mon-Fri or Fri-Sun.

Risk Assessment:

Stubbers is inspected by AALA (Adventure Activities Licensing Authority) on a yearly basis who assess the safety of our activity delivery. We have robust in house risk assessments which are available to view on our website. We have been awarded the Adventuremark Certificate for safe delivery of adventurous activities. We have a DSL and a reguarly reviewed safeguarding policy. All health and safety certificates can be found on our website at Stubbers | RESOURCES & FAQS
