Eden Project

Make Eden Project’s Rainforest Biome your classroom! Outstanding, curriculum-focused school trips in our unique environment offer immersive learning in, about and for the natural world. Led by our expert Education Officers, Eden’s learning programme brings the curriculum to life, inspiring and engaging your students with nature, science and sustainability.

What We Offer Visiting Schools:

The Eden Project demonstrates and inspires positive action for the planet. Our home in Cornwall is a living theatre of plants and people and a botanical garden too – the world poured into a transformed clay mine, housing the largest rainforest in captivity in our unique biome.

Our exhibits are designed to give you and your students a fresh understanding of the natural world we rely on; the impacts people have and challenges we face; the solutions we’ll work together to find.

We offer schools outstanding, curriculum-focused school trips in this unique learning environment. With 40 different workshops across ages and subjects we have something to suit your topics, your students and your timetable – from geography and science to business and sustainability, and for pupils from the early years to KS5 and beyond.

Why Choose Us for an Educational Visit:

Eden’s unique collection of over 1 million plants, iconic architecture and amazing art is the perfect place to bring learning to life. Your students will explore the world in a day; from the steamy rainforest to the sunny Mediterranean. We use our inspirational venue to inspire and demonstrate positive action for the planet, whilst also making the curriculum real and relevant to your students.

Eden offers experiential and engaging workshops across a range of subjects and topics, including geography, science, citizenship and sustainability for learners from EYFS to A level and beyond.

Our teacher-led visits are perfect if your time here is short, or our workshop programme doesn’t meet your needs. All our school visitors can use our free teaching resources and materials to support your visit, and are offered a base in our education centre.

In the winter we offer ice-skating for the over 7s and ice-fun for the little ones on our beautiful, covered rink – with exclusive sessions for schools. And year round, our programme of professional development on outdoor learning and leadership for sustainability offers teachers the chance to experience our unique approach first-hand.
