What We Offer Visiting Schools:
A school trip to Woburn Safari Park provides students of all ages with a wonderful opportunity to get up close to the wild animal residents living at the park. School group prices and packages can be tailored to suit you, with all educational sessions meeting the national curriculum. Kids of all ages will enjoy:
- Safari adventures by coach or bus as you travel through the Road Safari, coming face-to-face with a host of majestic animals
- Discover more in the Foot Safari and get up close to the animals in their walk-through enclosures
- Choose a teaching session in a variety of indoor and outdoor classrooms for fantastic learning experiences
- Watch a full program of keeper talks and demonstrations with penguins, meerkats, lemurs, sea lions and monkeys
- Let off steam in one of the fantastic indoor and outdoor play areas

Explore unique mixed species drive-through animal reserves and take schoolchildren into a wildlife environment in perfect safety. Take a tour guide on your coach for extra commentary on animal species, characters, adaptations and conservation stories. Continue your journey in the Foot Safari, with specially designed walk-through habitats.
Subjects and Topics Covered:
You can opt for a 30-minute indoor or outdoor teaching session, and enjoy interactive, curriculum-linked subjects, using multimedia and animal artefacts. Choose from one of the following topics:

Woburn Safari Park accommodate for whole school visits as well as smaller groups.
Itineraries, Resources, and Workshops:
Teachers have the option to book educational sessions led by our expert Education Team during their visit. These sessions can take place indoors, outdoors, or even as a guided tour on your coach, and may include a mix of interactive activities and hands-on artefacts to enrich the learning experience.
Risk Assessment:
Leisure attractions at Woburn Safari Park are supervised by trained staff, who are skilled in emergency procedures, including first aid, protocols for missing children, and animal escapes. All areas accessible to school groups undergo regular health and safety checks, covering fire safety, general hazards, and safe animal interactions. Teachers are also encouraged to arrange a complimentary pre-visit, providing them with the opportunity to plan their trip, meet a member of our Education Team, and create a tailored risk assessment for their group of children visiting.

Educational visits start at £7.55 per child for under 3’s and start at £10.49 for over 3’s with free teacher places available based on number of children booked.
Facilities:
There are three outdoor classrooms for educational sessions, as well as an indoor classroom. Safari Park educators will also take school groups into animal enclosures, habitats and houses, allowing children to observe the animals whilst learning about them. The indoor classroom space has an array of fascinating animal artefacts, including skins, skulls, horns, antlers and feathers.
Accessibility and Disabled Facilities:
Disabled toilets:
The Changing Places accessible toilet facility is located beside the disabled parking in the concrete car park. This is fitted with hoists, privacy screens, adult-sized changing benches, a peninsula toilet and has space for carers. Please ask staff in Junglies Gift Shop for the key.
Standard disabled toilets are located at the main admissions building, in the Safari Restaurant, and in the courtyard block by Junglies Gift Shop. Please ask staff for the radar key.
Communication boards:
There are five communication boards at Woburn Safari Park to help individuals communicate about a wide range of topics including the animals, leisure facilities, food and drink and self-care.
