Brick Explorers Wildlife Trail Launches at RHS Garden Harlow Carr

Yorkshire & North East England

Families invited to discover the natural world through life-like brick-built wildlife sculptures and hands-on activities

This summer, RHS Garden Harlow Carr is launching a brand-new Brick Explorers experience in collaboration with Iconic Bricks, inviting families to explore the garden through an immersive wildlife trail featuring intricately hand-crafted brick creations and hands-on building activities.

Running from 18 July until 6 September, Brick Explorers brings the RHS’ 2026 theme, ‘Bringing Nature Home’, to life through a playful celebration of wildlife, plants and the natural world.

Discover an array of wildlife-inspired brick creations, each individually designed and hand crafted by the team at Iconic Bricks, throughout RHS Garden Harlow Carr, enabling visitors to encounter British wildlife in a unique and imaginative way through a collection of larger-than-life displays. The creations will be woven into the garden landscape, appearing in varied forms and settings, from nestled among planting to positioned within naturalistic surroundings, encouraging families to look closely and explore.

Families can follow the Brick Explorers trail to uncover ten ‘wildlife superheroes’, learning about the unique abilities and behaviours that help different species survive and thrive. Using an accompanying activity booklet, visitors can collect superhero ‘superpowers’ as they explore the garden and discover how plants, fungi and animals are connected within natural ecosystems.

Alongside the trail, RHS Garden Harlow Carr will host Brick Explorer Build Stations, giving visitors the chance to create their own nature-inspired builds and imaginative green spaces.

Liz Thwaite, Head of RHS Garden Harlow Carr said: “We’re delighted to be bringing Brick Explorers to RHS Garden Harlow Carr for the first time. This exciting new experience combines creativity, play and discovery, encouraging families to explore the natural world around them and learn more about the wildlife that shares our gardens.”

Dates: 18 July – 6 September 2026
Location: RHS Garden Harlow Carr, Harrogate, North Yorkshire

Costs: The trail is included with standard garden admission.
